 Mercedes-Benz announces MercedesTrophy 2015, in search of best amateur golfers from Thailand to compete in World Final in Germany.

Mercedes-Benz Thailand today announced MercedesTrophy 2015, a world-class golf tournament that opens an exclusive opportunity for Mercedes-Benz customers to enter a global series of golf competitions. The best players from the qualifying round in Thailand will make their cuts into the Country Final, in search of Thailand’s representatives to compete in the Regional Final in Australia. From there, the regional winners will join the World Final in Stuttgart, Germany. The company also introduced Prom Meesawat as the professional Thai golfer, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Thailand. A promising Thai pro, Prom is tipped to deliver impressive performances in world-leading professional tournaments. He will also provide coaching advice to Thai participants at MercedesTrophy 2015.

MercedesTrophy 2015 will start with a qualifying round from April until June in a series of nine competitions;

Each competition divided into four divisions. The winner from each division and competition will go to the Country Final at Banyan Golf Club, Hua Hin on 4-5 June 2015. The first qualifying-round competition will take place on 9 April at Siam Country Club Pattaya Plantation.

This year’s regatta, the Hua Hin Regatta 2015, will be also to celebrate His Majesty the King’s 87th birthday Anniversary

Each year Hua Hin hosts a colourful yachting regatta when hundreds of competitors take part in a number of different classes for various prizes.

Classical Symphony and Chamber Music at Dusit Resort, April 5-8

Now comes that very fine time of the year, when we get to enjoy some of the very best classical music Thailand has to offer. And we don’t even have to pay for it!

Every year at this time, the prestigious Silpakorn University Faculty of Music holds a week-long Summer Music School at its Phetchaburi Campus (otherwise not used for music). The event has become quite the thing for aspiring classical musicians, with a intense competition for approximately 80 seats. I’m told that nearly a thousand audition for the chance to participate!

The winners get to spend the week intensively honing their craft under tutelage of Silpakorn faculty and guest artists including conductor Hikotaro Yazaki from Japan.

And they get to engage in yet more competitive auditions to win the coveted chair of soloist in the final concerts, and to have their original composition recognized and performed in public.

Organized by Addiction Studies of ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD) in collaboration with Drug and Alcohol Rehab Asia (DARA), OMICS Group, Mahidol University, Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), and Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), the Addiction Studies Department is going to conduct a five-day conference on the 1st ASEAN Conference on Addiction Research & Therapy (AC-ART 2015) under the theme: “Biopsychosocial Perspective on Addiction Research and Therapy during May 5-9, 2015 at Dusit Thani Hua-Hin, Thailand to bring together a large International experts belonging to various field of addiction research & therapy, leading universities, government organizations and rehabilitation centers at the same stage, and to provide a perfect platform for leading scientists, budding researchers, decision-makers and other key players in the field of addiction research & therapy for information exchange, generation of new ideas and acceleration of applications that will benefit Addiction research society in the coming future.
