This trendy flea market is new vibe of Hua Hin town, offering a mix of art items, designed-oriented products, hand-made souvenirs, T-shirts, shoes, bags, soap, candles, decorative items, open-air food court with food from other regions as well as international food. This market is initiated with art-inspired concept. Located in the middle of the garden, white houses are used as fine art galleries, painting exhibition and other types of art displays. The market is also served as an entertainment venue thanks to the amphitheatre style garden which has a stage for performing arts such as music, dance, story-telling.

El Murphy’s can be found in one of the smaller sois (streets) in the “old” part of Hua Hin- quite close to the Hilton Hotel.
It is spread over a couple of small buildings on a corner in the busy “nightlife” area of Hua Hin.
There is a main bar section- with a long bar and stools, and a number of large dark timber tables.
Bar decoration is along the usual “Irish” theme- with all sorts of paraphenalia on the walls.
Towards the back of the room, up a few steps is another section with more tables – and also the stage area where the house band plays live music most nights.
Adjacent to this area is a covered outdoor section with some high tables and stools- a popular spot for having a drink and watching the passing sights.
Throughout the bar are a number of large screens for live sports viewing- El Murphy’s is a very 
popular venue for sports enthusiasts amongst both local expats and tourists.
The bar has a large range of draught beers and ciders, many imported bottled beers, plus usual spirits and wine selections.
The kitchen at El Murphy’s is open from 7am serving their famous “fry up” breakfasts.
Lunches and dinners are mostly western style dishes- steaks, fish, lamb, etc., with weekend roast dinners also popular.
Bar stays open to 2am- and particularly on weekend nights can get quite packed with a party atmosphere.

Lying in the shadow of Khao Takiab (Chopsticks) hill, this sprawling open-air restaurant with its relaxed beach vibe is the place to go for your fix of the local cuisine.
Dine on the lush beach-fronted lawns under the serene gaze of the impressive 20-metre Buddha statue, in the shade of the huge Lanna-style pavilion encircled by fishponds, or in air-conditioned private salas.
A small playground to one side is designed to keep kids busy, while a live band adds to the magical ambience in the night.
The extensive menu serves up contemporary and traditional Thai dishes. Given it’s beachside location, seafood reigns here with entrees like the signature deep-fried morning glory that gets a kick from a sweet-spicy sauce with fresh prawns.
Other standouts include a salmon salad dressed in garlic, lemon and chilli, and the mouth-watering mix of oysters and scallions in a Thai-style omelette. For mains, nothing beats the perfectly balanced blend of hot, salty, sweet and sour flavours in the tom yum with tiger prawns; pair it with seafood fried rice baked in a whole pineapple.

Industrial chic meets retro styling in this popular L-shaped bistro in the Khao Takiab area. Khao Takiab is increasingly growing as a resort town in terms of accommodations and dining venues but still much quieter than Hua Hin. It has expanded from Hua Hin main touristic area. Fast food chain has not moved towards this area. Seafood marks the highlight of dining in the area. Thai cuisine is prevalent. If you feel like an extravagant and high quality meal, you won’t be disappointed with the wide choice of international cuisines which mostly can be found in upscale hotels and resorts. A few of stand-alone Italian restaurants and other international restaurant would be able to satisfy your cravings.

Saeng Thai Seafood Hua Hin Overview : Just a stone’s throw from the fishing pier, this open-air restaurant overlooks a picturesque ocean view and offers the best value overall. Plearnwan is a theme of unique Thai Style wooden buildings featuring shopping here you will find a two-storey courtyard-style building with an architectural statement in itself. You can stroll through and find shops selling everything from liquor, inexpensive plastic-and-tin toys, snacks as well as a beauty salon, photo studio, outdoor cinema screen and a 20-room guesthouse or ‘Piman Plern Wan’.
Food is the main highlight at Plearn Wan. But other than the usual pad thai or grilled meat skewers, you will find a good mix of old and new. Hard-to-find snacks, such as ‘tong muan sod’ (sweetened pancake) and ‘ka lor jee’ (similar to Japanese mochi), are cooked up by order at one of the hawker carts lining the walkway along with typical fare such as noodles and barbecued pork over rice. And if you are a fan of Thai sweets, you will find a myriad of mouthwatering recipes here, from mango sticky rice to grass jelly with shaved ice and preserved fruits in sweetened syrup. Besides hopping from one food cart to the next, shopping is another favourite pastime for visitors to Plern Wan.
How to get there
By Car :
– Drive along Highway No. 35 (Thon Buri-Pak Tho) passing Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram Provinces and then take Highway No. 4 to Hua Hin. Total distance is 123 kilometers. It takes 2.30 hrs.
– Alternatively, it is possible to travel via Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi Provinces, a journey which takes 3 hrs.
By Bus :
Busses from Bangkok’s Southern Bus Terminal; 1st class (air-conditioned), 2nd class (air-conditioned) and (ordinary). The trip takes about 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
The bus leaves for Bangkok from a station next to Siripetchkasem Hotel. In addition, there are air-conditioned buses for Chumpon Province (4 hours), Surat Thani Province (7hours), Phuket Province (10 hours) and Krabi Province (9 hours)
By Van :
Various agencies on Khao San Road and Victory Monument in Bangkok operate minivans to Hua Hin.
By Train :
From Hua-Lum-Pong station, there are many trains to Hua Hin, Pranburi and Prachuap Khiri Kan. The trip takes about 3-3/4 hours from Bangkok.
Local buses / Song-Thaews :
From Hua Hin to the Hat (beach) of Khao Takiap, Khao Tam and Suan Son. These buses run from around 6 am. until 5.50 pm.
