Reasonably sized, booking a table shouldn’t be necessary for lunch or for dinner. In 1973, the places to buy groceries in Bangkok were an open air market or fresh market or one of the few air-conditioned stores. Both a la carte and a set menu option are available here. The meat dishes are excellent and though the chef’s specialty is filet Rossini, the Chateaubriand and filet Toledo also rate a high score. Another standout is the superb Crab Hua Hin that is a signature. Other recommendations include the plateau de fruit de la mare, the moreish mussels in garlic butter and the delightful snapper crumble.






One of the first Italian restaurants to open in Hua Hin over 20 years ago, La Villa is something of an institution with Italian food lovers in the area. Having appeared on television in a popular gastronomic show, it is often frequented by Thais visiting the area. The house special is rigatoni al granchio or crab rigatoni. Marco, the owner, is a member of the Italian Chef Association of Thailand.
